Privacy & Cookies

• Quote and booking details — your name, phone number, email address, site postcode, the dates and machine you want, and any job notes you send us.
• Payment details — card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount.
• Reviews — the name, town, rating and review text you submit, plus an optional email address so we can verify the review. Your email address is never shown on the website.

To quote for your job, arrange delivery and collection, take payment, keep a record of the hire, and contact you about that hire. This is necessary to perform the contract between us and to run our business. Where we ask you for a review after a hire, you can opt out simply by ignoring or replying to the message.

Only the suppliers that make the site work: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for card payments, and our email delivery provider for booking and review notifications. We do not sell your data or pass it to marketing companies.

Booking and payment records are kept for six years to meet HMRC and VAT record-keeping requirements. Quote enquiries that do not lead to a hire are deleted once they are no longer useful. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only the essential storage needed to keep the site working — for example remembering your booking while you complete checkout, and keeping staff signed in to the back office. Stripe may set its own cookies on the secure payment page to prevent fraud.

Data is held in an access-controlled database. Customer contact details and booking records are visible only to approved Sterling Plant Group staff accounts, and all traffic to this site is encrypted.
